The Unseen Battle

There are 5 things as a youth minister I want to teach my students about the unseen battle... The unseen battle is what happens in our minds and for most of us that is where the real trouble begins. Here are somethings to remember.

1. Don't believe everything you think
2. Guard your minds from garbage
3. Never let up on learning
4. Feed yourself daily with God's Word
5. Let God stretch your imagination

Touch

We are starting a new series tonight called Touch. I just finished writing my sermon about the untouchables and how Jesus was never afraid to give what was needed in someones life. I also have been reflecting on touch and how much it means to each one of us. Here are somethings from my sermon and some thoughts on the subject.

The miracle showed God's power but his touch showed his love.
Jesus always defended the unlovable and unwanted.
Jesus went the extra mile to let people know he loved them.

If you have the time google the Sistine Chapel and notice Adam's posture while God is reaching for him.

I was thinking about the touch in my life that means so much. When Natalie holds my hand, hugs at church, when my Caroline squeezes my cheeks, when Emma hugs my leg and when you are worshiping and you feel the presence of God inside you.

We all need touch and we are worthy of God's touch because he is always willing...

What's it all mean...

Maybe some of you in the past couple of days have seen this video called a double rainbow. It is one of the funniest videos I have seen in a while. If you haven't seen it, here it is. Double rainbows are so yesterday... Here is a new video that trumps double rainbow and my question is, What does it all mean? ENJOY!!!

To Infinity and Beyond...

Today I will be doing something that I have wanted to do for many years. I will be jumping out of a perfectly good air plane with two close friends of mine, I am going SKYDIVING!!!! I have talked with many who have done it and they have said it is one of the craziest and most unforgettable things you could ever do. So wish me luck and pictures shall be coming soon. Not from the skydiving place because they wanted 90 dollars for pics and videos. I think my iPhones camera will work just fine today :) Wish me luck and say a prayer for yours truly...
